Antique Victorian Star Brooch with Seed Pearls and an Old Cut Diamond, 10k Rose Gold

What a little cutie, from an Estate with a large collection of Victorian Jewelry. This is an Antique Victorian Brooch with tiny seed pearls and an old cut natural diamond. It is made of unmarked 10k rose gold which has been acid tested, confirmed and guaranteed. There are small prong set seed pearls (1 -2 mm) on each of the rays which graduate to tiny pearls on the tips. There are 10 rays on the star, each covered with all the original seed pearls dating back to the late 1800s to early 1900s. In the center is an old cut diamond, measuring 2.2mm in a 6 prong setting.

This is not a large brooch. It measures 1" x 1", but is so finely detailed that I find it quite stunning for something so dainty. Can also be worn on a chain as a pendant.

It has a pin and lock mechanism. The stick pin part is a little loose but is in very good working order. The lock is in good working order as well. This is a fine and dainty piece of antique jewelry representative of the wonderful Victorian Era.
